About Modish Meichi
Hi, I’m Mary Jane Anderson, the heart behind Modish Meichi — a boutique where fashion meets faith, femininity, a love for the ladies in our community, and a deep desire for sustainability on this earth of ours.
I began this journey back in 2024 in an effort to create an experience where the ladies in our community could find quality clothing, great brands, the right outfit for the occasion, and find what they are looking for in whatever budget they have.
At Modish Meichi we sell both new and pre-owned items. I understand that for some situations we just need new outfits, and we’re working to partner with brands and companies that are sustainable and operate with the same values as Modish Meichi. I’ve found that I also want to feel good about my purchase knowing that I have a place to take it once I’ve decided to transition it to the next owner who will hopefully love it just as much as I did when I first saw it. I find a lot of joy in being able to offer gently pre-owned clothing as well in the hopes of giving that garment a second life while helping women in our communities feel beautiful in a new to them item.
There’s a lot of different seasons in our life, and I certainly have found myself with different financial needs as well. I’ve always loved fashion and dressing up for the occasion, but there’s also times where I had to make it on a strict budget. Ladies I want you to know that I’ve been there, and I applaud your efforts to make budgets work while keeping it classy and bougie.
I’ve also been in that season of my life where I had the means to buy new and wanted to splurge on myself. I found myself questioning the decision to buy new. Was it irresponsible, should I have focused on others, so on and so on. This is why I wanted to also focus on an avenue to help ladies connect within the community and work together to keep us all looking and feeling good. In selling pre-owned clothing it gives those who buy new a way to help women who are in a place where they used to be and help us feel good about our decision to buy new.
When you sell your gently worn items to us, you’re not just helping a local woman owned small business you are also helping and connecting to other women in your community that are very grateful for the opportunity to buy affordable outfits that truly help them to be the mother, wife, daughter they want to be. Let’s be honest ladies there’s just something about shopping and finding that perfect outfit that makes you feel good about yourself. I thank you for sharing my dream of spreading that feeling to as many women as we possibly can each day.
For some selling us your items is a way to expand your personal finances. I get it and appreciate you. For others selling your items is a way to connect, bond, and truly give back to the women in your community. We all have seasons in our life where we just need a little help, and for those of you who show up to help us with our mission I would like to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart! A little About Me:
I’m a little uncomfortable talking about myself, but my husband has encouraged me to speak up in the hopes that my story may empower other women. He believes that there will be haters, and people who are not kind that will show up. He also thinks that women should help each other more, and sometimes that’s done just by telling your story so that someone else knows that they are not alone in their journey no matter what season they are in at the time.
As a proud mother, cancer survivor (10 years May 5, 2025), and lifelong style enthusiast, I created Modish Meichi to be more than a clothing shop — it’s a community. Our boutique is built for women who care deeply: about their families, their faith, their footprint, and, yes, how they feel in a fabulous outfit.
As a busy mom, I know how hard it can be to balance everything and still feel put together. That’s why I created a space where fashion meets function — where you don’t have to choose between looking beautiful and feeling comfortable. I believe in clothing that empowers: timeless pieces that reflect who you are — classy, confident, and strong.
Sustainable apparel isn’t just a trend to me — it’s a statement of love: for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for future generations. Here, you’ll find curated style tips, wardrobe essentials, and real-life solutions designed for women who do it all — and do it with grace.
I am a faith driven woman who truly loves our community and wants to do all I can to serve the women in our community. I feel we should be helping each other as much as possible. No matter what walk of life you come from, or what season you are in we should all look to help each other the best we can within our capabilities. For me it’s working hard on my vision each day.
